In April of 2019, a terrible fire destroyed parts of the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris. The fire destroyed the cathedral’s roof, knocked it’s spire down, and almost destroyed the rest of it. Now, two years after the fire, rebuilding of the cathedral is about to start. Many different people of different professions worked together to put temporary structures to support the cathedral, and a huge “umbrella” to protect it from weather. The goal is to rebuild the cathedral by 2024, which is when Paris hosts the olympics.
