President Joe Biden is reportedly planning to give each illegal immigrant $450k. This does not mean every illegal immigrant will get it, though. Only the ones that were separated during the Trump administration will get the payments. The administration split up many families that illegally came to the US, sent the parents to jail, and put the children in these horrible facilities with no sanitation. The kids were supposed to take care of themselves.
Biden’s new plan is facing a lot of criticism from many people, mainly Republicans. They are saying that even families of fallen military personnel or victims of 9/11 did. The 9/11 families on average received $2 million, but some families got much lower payments. For families of military personnel, they receive a payment of $100,000, tax free, and there is also a life insurance program that gives the families $400,000, but that requires the families to pay for it beforehand.
