Amazon and Visa just struck a new global deal, and Amazon will continue accepting Visa credit cards on its sites. Months ago, Amazon threatened to stop the use of UK-issued visa credit cards, since the fees used to process payments were too high. The dispute was that Amazon said the fees were “an obstacle” to providing the best prices to customers, and Visa said Amazon was restricting customer choice. The use of Visa credit cards on Amazon in the UK was blocked in the past, but now that ban has been lifted by Amazon. Amazon customers in Australia and Singapore also had to pay an extra fee when using a Visa credit card in the past, but now there is no more fee.
