Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, has told company employees that he plans to remove 10% of the paid workers, according to an email he sent to everyone on Friday. These cuts will not apply to employees that build cars or batteries or install solar panels. The number of hourly paid employees will now increase. Reuters reported the news earlier, and the Tesla stock went down 9% after the article was published. Tesla has grown its staff a lot, as the company had over 99,000 workers by the end of last year, compared to just 48,000 2 years before. Musk has already told Tesla and SpaceX employees that they are required to be at the office for at least 40 hours a week.
