Mercedes is recalling 1 million cars due to a potential problem with the brakes. The cars will be recalled worldwide, not just nationwide. This was reported by Agence France-Presse, and the German federal transport authority was cited. The regulator, KBA, said that the cars were built between 2004 and 2015, and are in the ML and GL sports utility vehicle series, and also the R-Class luxury minivan. Mercedes said a “strong or hard” braking maneuver could cause damage to the cars’ brakes in “rare cases of severe corrosion”. Over 993,000 vehicles are being recalled, and over 70,000 of them are from Germany.
