The global mobility company, ECA International, has released its yearly list of the most expensive cities in the world to live in. The list is made based on prices of household items like milk, rent, utilities, public transit, and the strength of the currency. Hong Kong is at the top of the list again, and this is the third year in a row that it was at the top. Asia has 5 cities in the top 10 – Hong Kong, Tokyo, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Seoul. It’s actually 6 if you include Tel Aviv from the Middle East because the Middle East is sometimes considered a part of Asia. Paris has fallen out of the top 30, after being at the top of the list in the past. Madrid, Rome, and Brussels all also fell. Russian cities such as Moscow also fell. The most expensive city in Europe is Geneva, Switzerland.
