Sprite has made a big change. They are retiring their green plastic bottles, which have been used for over 60 years. Sprite is owned by Coca-Cola, and they said that they are changing it because the green plastic contains a material that can’t be recycled into new bottles. The company is trying to become more environmentally responsible, so they made this decision. Sprite will now use clear plastic bottles. The label will still remain green. Other drinks that Coca-Cola owns will also be replaced with clear containers soon. Those drinks include Seagram’s, Fresca, and Mello Yello.
