Finally, the biggest trades:

  1. Rudy Gobert → Timberwolves
  • The Jazz receive: Malik Beasley, Patrick Beverley, Leandro Bolmaro, Walker Kessler, Jarred Vanderbilt, and four 1st round picks + 2026 pick swap.

  • Dejounte Murray → Hawks

  • The Spurs receive: Danilo Gallinari, three 1st round picks + 2026 pick swap.

  • Christian Wood → Mavericks
  • The Rockets receive: Trey Burke, Boban Marjonavic, Marquesse Chriss, Sterling Brown, Wendell Moore

In summary, this NBA offseason was filled with a lot of signings and trades. Keep in mind, as we approach the regular season start, there may be more trades and signings that occur.

Who’s the biggest winner?

Most say it’s the Boston Celtics. They have acquired Malcolm Brogdon, for reserve players and a 1st round pick. Overall this trade gives them a huge boost to their chances of winning a championship this year.

Who’s the biggest loser?

It’s hard to tell right now, but it’s pretty clear that the Utah Jazz may be ready for a rebuild. The Jazz have traded Rudy Gobert, a 3x DPOY and one of the greatest interior defenders, for mid to below level rotational players and some 1st round picks. This may help them in the future, but is also not taking advantage of Donovan Mitchell’s prime as a young star.
