After a 3 year break, SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy rocket finally launches again. SpaceX is a private company owned by Elon Musk, the Tesla CEO and the richest man on the planet. Falcon Heavy is the most powerful operational rocket in the world, and today was the first time it was launched since mid-2019. It was launched at 9:41 ET in Florida today, and it was carrying satellites to space for the US military. The first Falcon Heavy mission was in 2018, when it was carrying Elon Musk’s personal Tesla Roadster. The Roadster is still in Space, taking a path around the sun. After that first mission Falcon Heavy was only launched two more times, both in 2019. But, after that time period, Falcon Heavy wasn’t launched, because most of SpaceX’s missions didn’t need Falcon Heavy’s power. Instead, the Falcon 9 rocket was used more often.
