Microsoft is planning on making thousands of job cuts in multiple different divisions. Some roles expected to be eliminated are in human resources and engineering divisions. These layoffs aren’t new in the tech sector, as Amazon and Meta already have announced layoffs. This Microsoft move is a sign that the layoffs in this sector will not stop anytime soon. Microsoft plans to cut around 5% of its workforce according to U.K broadcaster Sky News.
