New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is stepping down. She said she doesn’t feel she has enough energy to run for re-election in October. She said that her term will end on February 7 at a news conference, and that she expects a new Labour prime minister to be sworn in at that time. When Ardern took office, she was one of the youngest leaders in the world, and she was only the third female Prime Minister for New Zealand. She is widely respected across the world for many things she does like introducing new gun reforms. She will be missed as the PM of New Zealand.
