Biden and his administration just passed the first AI executive order ever

President Joe Biden and his administration just passed the first ever AI executive order. The order covers a wide array of topics, including privacy, civil rights, consumer protections, research and worker rights. All these issues have started to originate more ever since the AI field started booming. The purpose of this order is to try and ensure AI is used in a helpful manner, and not a hurtful one. It is still a work in process to try and manage AI, due to this being such a new field. Some of the main criticism has been that the order doesn’t go far enough in identifying and addressing real world harm that comes from AI models. While there are things to work on and improve, tech industry and civil society groups have said this is a very good first step, and they hope this can be built on in the future.
