The first ever space hurricane was found outside the atmosphere, said scientists. This was a 600-mile-wide mass of plasma, and it was found above the North Pole. A space scientist at the University of Reading said that people did not know if space-hurricanes even existed, so this discovery is amazing.
The hurricane was captured by satellites in 2014, but it was only recently uncovered by scientists in China. Tropical storms usually take up a lot of energy, and there must have been an unusually large rapid transfer of solar wind energy, said the space scientist.. The hurricane was raining electrons instead of water, had multiple arms, and lasted about 8 hours.
