On Thursday, March 11, President Joe Biden signed the $1.9 trillion stimulus bill. The Senate recently passed the bill, and then The House followed. Biden already described how the US will continue fighting the pandemic a year after WHO (World Health Organization) declared Covid-19 as a pandemic. This bill will give payments of up to $1,400 to many Americans. White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that Americans will get the money this weekend.
Many of the benefits of this bill have been described in previous Stimulus Bill articles, but here are some more benefits that have not been described. This bill will give almost $20 billion to Covid-19 vaccinations, $25 billion into rental and utility insurance, $350 billion into state, local, and tribal relief, $30 billion for restaurants, and more than $120 billion for K-12 schools. Many Republicans have criticized this bil, saying that many people are being vaccinated, and many states are reopening their economies.
