President Joe Biden is expected to choose former Senator Bill Nelson from Florida to lead NASA. Before he becomes the head of NASA, he will have to be approved by the Senate. If he is approved, he will lead NASA just when it is beginning to partner with other private space companies.When he was a senator for 18 years, Nelson was the top Democrat on the Senate Commerce, and Science and Transportation Committee. In 2019, he was appointed to NASA’s Advisory Council, so he could advise the agency.
