Many colleges are making vaccinations mandatory for students. Duke University, Brown, Northeastern University, the University of Notre Dame, Syracuse University and Ithaca College have all made this announcement in the last few days. Some other colleges include: Cornell University, Rutgers University, Nova Southeastern University, Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island, Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, and St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. Some universities have said that they will allow students to skip that rule for special reasons, like medical conditions, or religious beliefs.
As more and more people are being vaccinated, people 16 and older are also able to get vaccinated, because the eligibility is expanding. Because of this, colleges have decided to make vaccinations mandatory, which will help students to go back to campus.
