NFL draft predictions – part II

On Tuesday, I wrote an article predicting the 2021 NFL Draft picks 1-16. I will now predict picks 17-32. I have something special here that I didn’t have in the first mock draft. See if you can figure out what it is. Before I begin, I would like to remind you again that I’m not a fortune teller, this is just my opinion. If you disagree, we can agree to disagree.

17 Las Vegas Raiders: Mac Jones, Quarterback from Alabama I don’t know if Jones is going to slide this far down the board, but the Raiders can’t really trust Derek Carr. Vegas could also go linebacker here.

18. Miami Dolphins (from Houston): Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Linebacker from Notre Dame. Owusu-Koramoah has all the things you want in a linebacker. Fast, athletic and big.

19. Washington Football Team: Christian Darrisaw, Offensive Tackle from Virginia Tech Washington needs to up their offensive line. Darrisaw can fill that hole.

20. Chicago Bears, Greg Newsome, Cornerback from Northwestern Newsome picks off passes, can tackle, and can replace Kyle Fuller, although the Bears might go offensive tackle with this pick.

21. Indianapolis Colts: Teven Jenkins: Offensive Tackle from Oklahoma State Jenkins is a very talented lineman who can replace the retired Anthony Castonzo.

22. Green Bay Packers (from Tennessee): Caleb Farley, Cornerback from Virginia Tech. The first projected trade! The Pack have traded up the past three drafts, including last year’s heavily criticized move to draft quarterback Jordan Love. Farley will fill a big hole at corner.

23. New York Jets (from Seattle) Gregory Rousseau, Edge from Miami Rousseau will probably slip because of his stiff pro day workout, but he has good production and an impressive 10-yard split.

24. Pittsburgh Steelers: Rondale Moore, Wide Receiver from Perdue. If he goes in the first round, Moore can be a good third wide receiver behind Juju Smith-Schuster and Chase Claypool.

25. Jacksonville Jaguars (from L.A Rams): Trevon Moehrig, Safety out of TCU Moehrig is too good of a player for the Jags to pass up. They could try to protect Trevor
Lawrence, but they need to fill Jalen Ramsey’s shoes.

26. Cleveland Browns, Azeez Ojulari, Edge from Georgia. I believe the Browns need some help on D. Ojulari may not slip this far, but if he does, Cleveland should definitely take him.

27. Baltimore Ravens: Jayson Oweh: Edge from Penn State Oweh is probably the second-best defensive player from Penn State behind Micah Parsons. The Ravens didn’t have the greatest defense last year, so Oweh will provide a much-needed boost.

28. New Orleans Saints: Asante Samuels Jr.: Cornerback from Florida State The Saints could trade up aggressively and take a QB to replace the legendary Drew Brees, but
Samuels said publicly he’s the best corner in the class and he would be picking off NFC South quarterbacks.

29. Tennessee Titans (from Green Bay): Kelvin Joseph, Cornerback from Kentucky Joseph is kind of raw, but he’s fast, big, and has explosive talent. Tennessee could use a
cornerback to give AFC quarterbacks a headache.

30. Buffalo Bills, Landon Dickerson, Center from Alabama. With the Jets, Dolphins, and Patriots all projected to take linemen, the Bills need to protect Josh Allen. Dickerson might go 2nd round because of his ACL tear, but it seems like his recovery is going well.

31. Kansas City Chiefs: Jevon Holland, Corner from Oregon Holland is a late-1st round-early 2nd round hybrid guy who could team up with L’Jarius Sneed to give K.C. two young, athletic corners,

32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Rashod Bateman: Wide Receiver from Minnesota Bateman probably will not fall this far. However, if he does, the Bucs should look at him if they don’t re-sign Antonio Brown.

That’s the whole first round! It will be fun to see how this all plays out. Let me know in the comments if you have any different thoughts.
