A Belgian Farmer Accidentally Moved the French Border

A history enthusiast was walking in a forest when he noticed that the French and Belgian border had moved 2.29 meters or 7.5 feet. The farmer was annoyed by the stone in his way while driving his tractor. It did not cause any international problems but instead caused smiles by both countries. The border stretches 390 miles (620 Kilometers) and it was established in 1820 under the Treaty of Kortrijk.
The farmer was told to place the stone back and if he did not do so he would face criminal penalties. The Franco-Belgian border commission would have to be summoned if he does not comply. The border commission has been dormant since 1930.
