The CDC findings were that the vaccine would reduce the risk of severe symptoms of Covid-19, but also that it would reduce the transmission rate of the virus. The daily deaths and cases are at the lowest since April 2020 and this is promising as the vaccine is working. It is pretty hard to catch the virus after vaccination but it is still possible. Out of the 117 million fully vaccinated people only 9,245 people later tested positive.
It is possible if another variant comes that the CDC would change back the guidelines for vaccinated people. Things are trending towards the correct path and this is a big step forward!
