A rock formation has collapsed

A rock formation, Darwin’s Arch to be specific, has collapsed into the sea. It is located in the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador, and it collapsed because of natural erosion. There are now only two pillars left. Darwin’s Arch is just a mile away from Darwin island, and it is made of natural stone. It is also named after the biologist Charles Darwin. The arch has many different animal and plant species, and is a UNESCO heritage site. At 11:20 a.m of local time, the arch sadly collapsed, and it was seen by people on a diving boat.

Did you know this?

This is one of the best places in the world to dive and look at sea animals.
