Warren Buffett resigned from the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation

Warren Buffett, one of the richest men on the planet, has resigned from the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation, and he did not say why he did this. Warren Buffett is the seventh richest man on the planet, with a net worth of $104.6 billion, as of June 23, 2021. He gives a lot of money to philanthropy, as he gave away $41 billion to philanthropy in total. He gave another $4.1 billion today, and that helped him reach a milestone of giving away half of his wealth. When he first started giving away money in 2006, he had 478,998 Class A shares of Berkshire Hathaway (his company), and now he has 238,624 of the shares. He also has said that he will give away the rest of the $100 billion as time goes on. The Bill & Melinda Gates foundation is a foundation started by Bill and Melinda Gates. It is dedicated to philanthropy, and giving money away. Bill and Melinda Gates have announced a divorce recently, but they will continue working on the foundation. Bill Gates is currently worth $126.8 billion, and is the 4th richest man on the planet.
