The cryptocurrency lender Genesis is about to file for bankruptcy. This has been expected for weeks, ever since Nov. 16, when the company froze customer redemptions after the major cryptocurrency exchange FTX’s downfall. Ever since FTX’s downfall, many crypto firms such as BlockFi and Core Scientific Inc. Genesis and Gemini, another crypto currency, are in a dispute currently. Gemini and Genesis had a crypto lending product called Earn together, and now Gemini claims that Genesis owes it $900 million in connection with the product.
