A new dinosaur from the lower Upper Cretaceous of Central Asia, the Ulughbegsaurus uzbekistanensis, has been discovered by researchers in the University of Tsukuba. This dinosaur lived about 90 million years ago in present day Uzbekistan, and it was at least 22 feet long, and weighed over 1,000 kilograms. This dinosaur is a carcharodontosaurus, which is a group of medium to large carnivores with shark-like teeth.
