Naomi Osaka, one of the most famous women tennis players, has decided to quit the French Open. The French Open is a very important tennis tournament for tennis players. Naomi Osaka is the second best female tennis player in the world, and the highest paid female athlete. She is quitting the French Open because she does not want to talk to reporters at the end of the tournament. After the tournament, it is mandatory for the players to talk to reporters at the end, or else they will be fined. Since Osaka is quitting the tournament, she now has to pay a $15,000 fine, because she is supposed to talk with the press for playing in the tournament.
The reason she does not want to talk to reporters is because she is facing Depression. She has been facing it since 2018, when she defeated one of the best women tennis players Serena Williams. There are many people supporting her leave from the tournament. But, there are also others that are saying that she should not have left the tournament.
