Amazon, the E-commerce giant, has said that they will make a lot of job cuts. The company has already announced that they have plans to close their Amazon Care business by the end of the year, and so they are removing employees from that sector. Amazon will cut 159 people from Amazon Care, and they will also release 236 employees from Care medical, a group of clinicians that were responsible for treating Amazon Care patients. There is a law called the WARN act, which will be explained in-depth at the bottom of this article. The layoffs will start around December 1st, over 2 months after today.

Amazon heavily grew its worker number during the pandemic, and now that it is ending, they are trying to cut costs and lowering their total number of employees again.
