When he started playing, him and his family were homeless, because they were running away from religious persecution. And the amount of time he practices is no joke: he practices for 10 – 11 hours each day after school.

He said that he now has another goal: to become the youngest grandmaster. He is 10 years and 8 months old right now, and the current record is held by Sergey Karjakin, who got it at 12 years and 7 months.
