An explosion happened at a German chemical site, killing 1 person and injuring 16 others. This happened at 9:40 AM, in the German city of Leverkusen on Tuesday. The blast also caused a fire at Chempark, an industrial park for chemical companies. Four people are still being searched for, and 2 of the 16 injured workers are seriously injured. It is unknown why the blast happened. Also, the fire is now under control. The blast sent tons of smoke into the air, and so police asked people living nearby to stay indoors, keep doors and windows closed, and to turn off air conditioning, while the nearby air is scanned for toxic gas.
