China sent trucks with food and water to flooded parts of the country, and they sent soldiers to place sandbags in river dikes that left neighborhoods underwater. The residents of Henan, the province that was flooded, were clearing away mud, broken cars, and other things. Henan was hit by record rains which started Tuesday, and the rains flooded streets and stopped trains. The rain stopped a few days later, but some people were still waiting for water up to 6 feet deep to drain. Henans government said 63 people died, 5 people were missing, and 8,876 homes collapsed. Henan lost $2 billion dollars because of the floods.
