Starting next week, Costco’s minimum wage will be increased from $15 to $16 per hour. This move was announced by Costco CEO Craig Jelinek. The CEO said that Costco has always been dedicated to giving its employees the best possible wages and the best health care benefits.
Because of this increase, Costco employees’ starting wage will be higher than the starting wage of Target, Amazon, and Walmart employees. Amazon and Target employees minimum wage is $15 per hour, while Walmart employees have a minimum wage of $11 per hour. Amazon went up to $15 per hour change in 2018, while Target went up to $15 per hour in July.
