Eagles vs. Commanders MNF preview

On November 14, the Washington Commanders will play the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. These two met earlier this season in Week 3 in Landover, Maryland (home of the Commanders), with the Eagles taking the victory 24-8. I will preview the game.

The Commanders are 4-5, which is last in the very tough NFC East. However, they are somehow a half-game out of a playoff spot. They were 1-4 heading into Week 6, but reeled off 3 straight wins against the Bears, Packers, and Colts to get to .500. But they lost a close game against the Vikings, and they’re 4-5. Former Eagles QB Carson Wentz was supposed to start this game, marking the first time in Philly since they traded him to the Colts in 2021. But he suffered an injury to the hand in Chicago against the Bears, and Taylor Heinicke stepped in for him. No one expected Heinicke to look as good as he has been the last 4 weeks. But here he is.

The Eagles have been the best team in the NFL, without question. They have still yet to lose a game this year. The defense has looked stout, even without 1st-round rookie Jordan Davis for a while. The offense has looked great, led by QB Jalen Hurts. They’re 8-0 heading into this game. Oh, and also they might get a really high draft pick in 2023 thanks to the struggles of the New Orleans Saints.

Now, for my prediction. As an Eagles fan, I am feeling really confident about this game, and I think that the Eagles are, too. I expect not to be let down.

My Prediction was an Eagles win 31-14, but it did not turn out that way. They played a great game.
