Gas prices rose today for the first time in nearly 100 days. The price rose about a penny, going up to $3.681 from $3.674. Gas prices were skyrocketing till June 14, when the price hit a record-high $5.02 per gallon, but they started falling ever since then. According to AAA spokesman Andrew Gross, “A new storm system forming could make its way to the Gulf of Mexico next week, and that could impact oil production and coastal refineries.” He is talking about how hurricane season can impact gas prices. Also, according to Gross, the Ukraine – Russia war may also make the gas prices go up.
