France is angry at the US for supplying Australia with nuclear-powered submarines, because France was excluded from the deal. The UK was included in the deal, but France wasn’t. France and the US have worked together many times before in the past, so France feels offended and left out. France also had its own deal to supply Australia with less sophisticated submarines, which was made in 2016, but the deal has collapsed since. The US and UK are supplying Australia with these so the western part of the world could have some naval presence in the Pacific. China has been extending its influence there, and the western countries want to stop it.
