Yesterday, it was the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. On September 11th 2001, 2 planes crashed into the Twin Towers in NYC, 1 plane hit the Pentagon just outside of Washington D.C, and 1 hit a Field in Pennsylvania. This was a terrorist attack conducted by 19 people associated with Al Qaeda, an Islamic terrorist group. The terrorists on the plane that crashed into the field were stopped by passengers on the plane, and so the plane crashed into the field. The plane’s intended target is unknown, but some theories include the White House and the Capitol building in Washington D.C. The mastermind of the attacks, Osama Bin Laden, was later killed by U.S troops. Yesterday, Biden paid his respect to the people who died on 9/11.
