The total number of job openings fell badly in June. They fell to their lowest number since September of last year, and it is possible that this is a sign that the labor market is starting to shrink. The total job vacancies was 10.7 million at the end of June, which is a decline of 605,000. Hiring rates also fell to 2% to 6.37 million.
