Many European countries have blocked the use of AstraZeneca vaccine

Some of the most populous European countries have blocked the use of Astrazeneca’s vaccine, including Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. Germany was the first to announce this move on Monday, and France, Italy, and Spain followed shortly after that. Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, and a few other countries have paused the use of the vaccine.

The reason all of these countries have stopped the use of the vaccine is because there were reports of blood clots in some patients. Blood clots are really dangerous, and it is even deadly in some cases. WHO (World Health Organization) is still recommending using the vaccine. It also said that the biggest threat that countries are facing currently is lack of access to vaccines, and not blood clots concerns. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that the vaccine is safe and effective. His health officials have approved the vaccine.

AstraZeneca has said that there is no evidence of a link between its vaccine and blood clotting.
