On Thursday, February 18, NASA’s Perseverance rover will land on Mars. NASA rarely sends rovers to Mars. The last NASA rover to land on Mars was Curiosity in 2012. Since this event is so rare, Krispy Kreme(the doughnut company) will be selling a limited edition doughnut that will be available only on Thursday.
The doughnut will look like Mars. It is caramel-dipped and chocolate filled, and has some cookie crumbs to look like martian dust. Before Perseverance was sent into space, NASA held a “send your name to Mars campaign”,and if you have your name on the rover, you will get a free Mars doughnut from Krispy Kreme.
