Paleontologists found a new species of dinosaur after a specimen about 73 million years ago in northern Mexico. About 72 to 75 years ago a herbivore died in what must have been a body of water full of sediment. The tail of the animal, called Tlatolophus Galorum, was discovered first in the General Cepeda area of the northern state of Coahuila in 2013. Scientists eventually discovered 80 percent of it’s skull.
The discovery is still under investigation, research about the ancient reptile has already been published in the scientific journal Cretaceous Research, according to INAH.
