The Youtube star Mr. Beast just had 1,000 people cured of blindness. He sponsored cataract surgery for those 1,000 people, all of whom were blind or near blind. Jeff Levenson, an ophthalmologist and surgeon, worked with Mr. Beast to perform the first round of these surgeries. According to Levenson, half the blind people in the world just need a 10 minute surgery. He also said that the patients were “in disbelief that somebody would actually seek them out to rescue them from blindness, and then have the kindness and generosity of spirit to offer the surgery.”
