Netflix is considering making its ad supported plan $7 – 9 dollars a month, according to Bloomberg. These accounts would show around 4 minutes of ads for every hour of content. The plan would be around half the price of Netflix’s subscription tier, which is $15.49 a month. The subscription tier is also the most popular one. Netflix did comment on Bloomberg’s report, saying the price was “speculation at this point.” In April, Netflix announced that they were considering adding an ad tier, after losing 200,000 subscribers from January to March.
