Sabrina Ionescu makes history

New York Liberty rookie Sabrina Ionescu made history on Tuesday. She had 26 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds in an 86-75 win over the Minnesota Lynx. Not only did she collect the first triple-double in Liberty history, she became the youngest player in WNBA history to collect a triple-double. She also became just the tenth player in league history to accomplish that feat AND the fastest to ever do it; she did it in her 6th career game.

Ionescu was the first overall pick by the Liberty in the 2020 WNBA Draft out of Oregon, where she had 26 trip-dubs, an NCAA record. She also had a game-winning buzzer-beater in her first game at the Barclays Center against the Indiana Fever. This is a big feat.
