Scientists have found a “super plant” that can absorb 20% more pollution on busy roads when compared to other shrubs. This plant is called Cotoneaster Franchetii. This plant was studied by scientists at the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS)in the UK. According to the lead researcher in RHS, in one week, 1 meter of Cotoneaster fence can take in the same amount of pollution that a car gives on a 500 mile drive.
