Southwest planes have resumed flying again, after a multi day hiatus. Over the holidays, the airline canceled thousands of flights, leaving many travelers stranded, and canceling many vacation and trip plans. The company’s CEO, Bob Jordan, said “I’m extremely sorry for that. There’s just no way to apologize enough.” He also said that passengers would be reimbursed for their losses for hotel rooms, rental cars, meals, etc. The flight cancellations began on December 22, and the issues first started because of a very big winter storm. The problems soon disappeared for other airlines, but it continued and worsened for Southwest.
