SpaceX, the company owned by the richest man in the world, Elon Musk, sent Starlink to Ukraine, which is a satellite provided internet service. Musk sent advice to Ukraine on how to keep the service running, as he expects that it will be hit with cyberattacks from the Russians. SpaceX will take extra steps to try and make the system more resilient against cyberattacks, so the system will be reliable. Some governments have already asked him to block Russian news sources, but he declined, saying “Sorry to be such a free speech absolutist.” Governments across the world are blocking Russian news sources, and Russia is arresting anyone within the country for publishing “false information” about the war. False information for the Russian government is probably anything that goes against Russia.
