EV giant Tesla’s deliveries drastically dropped by 18% in Q2 of 2022. It only made 258,580 vehicles during that period and delivered just 254,695. In Q1 of 2022, it built 305,407 EV’s and delivered 291,189 of them. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said recently that the company’s new factories in Texas and Berlin are “giant money furnaces” and are costing Tesla billions. Tesla explained the decline in production by saying the decline was due to “ongoing supply chain challenges and factory shutdowns beyond our control.”
