The United Kingdom is getting a new Prime Minister – again. Rishi Sunak, the new PM, will be the country’s third in just 2 months. The former PM, Liz Truss, was only in office for 6 weeks, and she just resigned a few days ago. Sunak is a former finance minister and hedge-fund manager, and he is an Indian Hindu. He will be the first person of color to serve as PM. Britain is facing some hard economic times right now, and Sunak will be tasked with helping to get through this. Sunak was chosen by members of Britain’s conservative party, not the general public. Sunak is one of the richest people in England, as he and his wife have an estimated net worth of $827 million. By comparison, Queen Elizabeth II was estimated to have about $420 million before her death.
