This temperature is one of the highest ever recorded in the world, and it might even be the highest temperature ever, if it is approved. There is a record of 134 degrees in 1913, but scientists are arguing over whether it is true or not. Most of the Western parts of the US are getting record setting temperatures, and over 31 million people are in lockdown. This heatwave is the third so far this summer. Temperatures in the night aren’t any better – they are 15 to 25 degrees more than usual. Many families are struggling to stay cool, and so there are many people helping them.
