United Airlines is planning a $100 million dollar expansion of its pilot training center. They are doing this during their hiring spree right now. United and other airlines are racing and competing to add more pilots since travel is starting to come back. The company expects to hire over 2,000 pilots this year. The training center expansion will be in Denver, and it will allow the company to add 6 new flight simulators. It is planning to add 6 more later on, and the company currently has space for 40 simulators. The project is expected to be completed next year. These simulators will train the pilots on the Boeing 737 Max and Airbus jetliners.
