The United States of America reached 100 million total doses of vaccines on Friday, March 12th. The reason the number is so high is because it takes about 2 or 3 doses to be fully vaccinated depending on the company. Almost 35 million total Americans are fully vaccinated or 10.5% of the United States’ population. 20% of the population though has gotten at least one dose. The first vaccination was given in December and as of now the United States has more vaccination than any other country. Some other less populous countries have vaccinated a higher percentage of people though.
Biden wanted to get 100 million people fully vaccinated in his first 100 days as a president which is expected to be completed even before. Biden’s administration says that they will have enough doses to vaccinate any aged adult by May. Vaccinations are expected for children by the end of the year and even into early 2022.
